I hope you dance when you think of me
With every step every twist every turn
I hope you dance and laugh at the world
And feel me laugh with you

I hope you dance when time stands still
When an eternity exists within a single note and
When it races forward and changes you without me

I hope you dance to the beat of your heart
To the music that was my solace
I hope you dance to my favorite song
When nothing else of me remains

I hope you dance and feel
Me and You and
Us together

I hope you dance through the tears
I hope you dance when your body is stiff
I hope you dance and dance and know
I always dance with you

Another work that has sprung from my attempts to regain my inspiration for writing. I have to say, this is probably my favorite thus far. As a former dancer, dance has always had a special place in my life. One of the only things that has ever meant more or been able to influence me more is music, something that is integral to dance. Although in relation to dance music can mean anything. But I digress.

Dance is freedom and love and hope. It is something that is always moving forward and evolving, but keeps certain aspects of its past. It's a beautiful reflection of life. I hope this does it some semblance of justice.

This is still a draft. I have a few ideas of how I could improve this, or maybe change it or spread it out into a series. But for now, this is it. I hope you enjoy it!
